Realinfo - Qatar 2022 World Cup officially opened from Sunday, 20 November 2022 at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al-Khor.
For the running of this grand football competition, the Government of Qatar has prepared eight stadiums that will be used as arenas for matches.
However, it is not only the stadium that is being prepared by the Government of Qatar to host the 2022 World Cup.
Qatar also relies on several technologies to support the 2022 World Cup. Some of the new technologies may be applied at this year's World Cup, although some have already been used in other football events.
The following are five technologies used at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, as summarized by Real info from Gizmodo, Saturday (26/11/2022).
The Qatar 2022 World Cup uses an official ball named Al-Rihla, which was launched by Adidas since the beginning of 2022. According to the official Adidas website, Al Rihla uses a new "connected ball" technology developed by Adidas.
This technology is said to be able to support the performance of the VAR (video assistant referee/video assistant referee) system by providing accurate data, such as the impact and movement of every kick and header on the field.
From the outside, Al Rihla looks normal like a soccer ball in general.
