This technology is said to be able to support the performance of the VAR (video assistant referee/video assistant referee) system by providing accurate data, such as the impact and movement of every kick and header on the field.

However, in it is embedded a motion sensor called the Adidas Suspension System which is powered by a rechargeable battery. This sensor is said to transmit data 500 times per second.

"By combining player and ball tracking data and embedding artificial intelligence, this technology will provide an automatic offside warning to match devices in the video operation room whenever the ball is received by an attacker who is in an offside position on the pitch," FIFA wrote.on the official blog.

As soon as the referee decides to be offside, the system will create a 3D animation to depict the player's body position when the ball is played. Then, the video will be displayed on a giant screen for everyone to see.
